Hi! I’m Lauren!

I’ve been an entrepreneur since the age of 8 when my brothers and I sold lemonade and birdhouses on the side of Highway 54 in Durham, North Carolina.

My early pursuit of the almighty dollar took me from babysitting, ice cream scooping, sewing dresses and coaching sports (soccer, swimming, rowing, volleyball), to the world of consulting, where I found meaning and fulfillment could coexist alongside revenues.

I knew early on in my first job that a conventional 9-5 was not going to be my path forward. In fact, I have only 6 months’ employment history as an adult. What started as a freelance role selling wholesale handbags and ready-to-wear to accounts along the east coast quickly transformed into a full-fledged consulting practice.

Now I look back at the 15 years since I struck out on my own and marvel at my own chutzpah and, indeed, my arrogance!

Fortunately, I have learned from mistakes, had some delightful successes, and along the way developed relationships with clients and methodologies that arose from our work together.

More than anything these days I am a pattern recognizer. I gather inputs from all kinds (and the unlikeliest) of places and gradually form a cohesive system to replicate outcomes.

These inputs are a necessity to my work and one of the reasons I read widely, travel (even with a 4 year old!), and take many meetings both in NYC and online.

I live in downtown NYC and the Hudson Valley with my husband and aforementioned 4 year old.

You can learn more about me on my youtube channel.

OFFICIAL BIO

Lauren Fritsch is the founder of the Coaching Collective (a consultancy that focuses on equipping mid-market businesses with the tools to drive sales and talent engagement). She began her career as a consultant in the fashion industry working with small to mid-sized companies on branding, wholesale and retail distribution strategy, design, merchandising and production. Her hands-on approach to efficiency and profitability gave her early success and she was recognized for her ability to drive sales for new brands in emerging markets. After a blockbuster wholesale debut for a new brand in Las Vegas, Lauren realized that selling thousands of units of designer clothing was not her calling.

These days Lauren works with CEOs and their teams to increase sales via Customer Experience and Employee Experience architecture. Lauren’s trademark is helping leaders navigate the rapid growth of their companies and maintain healthy relationships inside and outside of the workplace. For teams, she facilitates environments of authenticity and accountability to drive innovation and productivity in a way that supports the culture and vision of the CEO.

Lauren has been coaching and motivating others for the past fifteen years and draws upon her lifetime of experience as a business owner, consultant, athletic coach, and yoga teacher to inform her consulting relationships and generate results. Whether working with famous politicians, global brands, designing hand bags in Italy and software in Ohio, taking care of logistics for the Dalai Lama, or leading a women’s retreat through sun salutations, her approach to business and life is the same: discover who you are, build on your strengths, and don’t be afraid to give the world more of your true self.

A graduate of the University of Virginia and Phillips Academy, Lauren is a Certified Professional Behavioral Strategist and an E-RYT 200 yoga teacher. She lives in New York City and the Hudson Valley.
